TELL CITY - Freshmen won five of Tell City's seven victories in individual events as the Marksmen trounced Boonville 101-67 in girls swimming Monday.

The Marksmen won 10 of 11 events overall, including all three relays.

Boonville won the 100-yard breaststroke and neither team had a diver competing.

"Our freshmen obviously did real well," said Tell City Coach Mike Page. "Alyson Goffinet won the 200 and 500 (freestyles) and dropped her time considerably in each."

Goffinet swam the 200 in 2:24.80 and the 500 in 6:31.79.

Freshman Erika Hauenstein won the 200 individual medley in 2:35.84 and the 100 backstroke in 1:10.85.

Another freshman, Chelsea Malone, won the 50 free in 26.82 and swam on all three winning relays.

She teamed with Samantha Ballman, Hauenstein and C.J. Fentress to win the 200 medley relay in 2:12.76.

Katie Clemens, Ballman, Jessica Wagner and Malone won the 200 free in relay in 1:55.52.

Ballman also won the 100 butterfly in 1:14.05.

"That's her best fly in a while," said Page.
