ORLANDO, Fla.—Tell City Wrestling Club members Dylan Froehlich and Jeff Weiss earned medals for their performances with Hoosier Elite in the AAU national wrestling tourney June 23-26.

Hoosier Elite wrestled 13 matches in the tourney and finished 30th among 38 teams in the all-star division.

Though it was a team competition, individual records were also kept to determine the top finishers in each weight class.

Froehlich, who will be a senior at Tell City, went 11-2 with five pins to place third and earn the bronze medal in the 215-pound weight class.

His fastest pin was in 56 seconds against Team New Mexico. He also scored one in 59 seconds against Kryptonite of Ohio.

Weiss, who will be a senior at Heritage Hills, went 10-3 with four pins to place fourth in the 160 weight class, earning him the copper medal.

This was the second year for both to compete in the national tourney.
