Control efforts proposed on seven sites in county
LEOPOLD - Hoosier National Forest officials will host a Dec. 12 public meeting to discuss the control and treatment of invasive plants within the Hoosier National Forest. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Perry Central High School Library.
Forest officials have identified seven areas of barren communities in Perry County for treatment, all designated special areas because of the unique geology each offers or the plant species they support.
