Forest Park defeats Marksmen

TELL CITY - Tell City won No. 1 singles but Forest Park won all the other matches in straight sets to beat the Marksmen 4-1 in PAC boys tennis Monday.

Andy Chinn defeated Brad Ketzner 6-0, 6-3 in No. 1 singles.

Tell City won only one game in the other two singles matches, though.

Jon Staff beat Trent Wheatley 6-, 6-1 in No. 2 and Marcus Beckman shut out Patrick Hagedorn 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3.

Logan Mohr and Casey Van Winkle defeated Jake Roland and Andy Kast 6-0, 6-1 in No. 1 doubles.

Nathan Bromm and Jacob Meyer beat Greg Hollinden and Chris Kohnert 6-2, 6-0 in No. 2 doubles.

Tell City competed in an eight-team tourney at Washington Saturday and finished seventh with nine points.

North Posey won the tourney with 49 points.

Tell City, 0-2 in dual matches, will host Tecumseh Tuesday at 5 p.m.
