Tell City OKs lease terms for city land

TELL CITY - With one nay vote, the Tell City Common Council agreed Monday to approve a memorandum of understanding with Spencer County businessman Don Foertsch and his new Tell City Boat Works.

The memorandum paves the way for Foertsch to begin using portions of the city-owned former Maxon Marine site to make a variety of marine vessels. This week's deal will also form the basis of the formal 10-year contract the city and Foertsch are expected to enter into in early 2008.
