INDIANAPOLIS—Tell City’s A.J. Flynn has been named to the academic all-state wrestling team by the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association.
To be eligible for the honor a wrestler must have been a regional qualifier and be a senior with at least a 3.25 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
Flynn finished the season with a 12-5 record and advanced to the semistate despite a recurring shoulder injury.
In the classroom he has compiled a 3.98 GPA and is ranked third in his class. He scored a 2060 on the SAT.
