LINCOLN CITY – The film, “The Why in the Road,” will be shown at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial at noon June 1.
Sponsored by Preserving the Historic Road 2012, the hour-long film takes viewers on a journey down Indiana’s historic roads in an attempt to answer the question, “Why would anyone want to preserve a historic road?”
A second showing of the film will be held at noon June 5. Both showings will be at the park’s Memorial Visitor Center.
County roads in Spencer, Perry and other southern Indiana counties are featured in the film.
Local area historians and business owners talk about how historic roads tie communities together. The film will be introduced June 1 by executive producer Candy Yurcak.
