Features added to News Web site

Readers using the Perry County News Web site may have noticed some features added recently.

A test-version archive-search box has been added to the upper-right side of each page. Unlike the search box above it, which finds only the stories in the current edition, the test version locates stories as far back as mid-October, when The News was switched by its parent company to a new Web-site system.

New to the site as of Feb. 8 are a scroll bar for headlines appearing on the left side of our home page, a "print this story" link atop each story and a reader-comment box below each one.

To add comments, readers will have to provide an e-mail address, user name and password, and respond to a confirmation message sent to the e-mail address.

We hope these additions make our readers' visits to our site more enjoyable.
