EUCC’s month-long homecoming celebration begins Sunday

TELL CITY – Evangelical United Church of Christ at 10th and Jefferson streets is beginning a month long homecoming celebration Sunday.
The theme for the Homecoming for the 148-year-old congregation is, “With God’s help, we are rooted in the past, shaping the present and building the future.” Fun, excitement, worship and reminiscing will occur each Sunday.
A review of history and trivia of the church will be a part of the Oct. 30 service. Nov. 6 will include special music.
Former pastor Marion Harrison and Ben Keckler will conduct the worship. A reception will follow that service.
On Nov. 13 an in gathering of foodstuffs for the Feed the Hungry campaign of the national United Church of Christ is planned. Special music will be presented.
The final grand Homecoming Sunday on Nov. 20 will be a family service as well as being a hat service. Remember when everyone wore hats?
Pastor Emeritus Rev. Don Scott and wife, Sue will be featured. Following that service an old fashioned pitch-in dinner will be held.
The public is invited to any of all of the services, especially those who have ever been associated with EUCC through baptism, church or Bible school, confirmation, marriage or through family members or friends.
