Employee accused of theft at restaurant

TELL CITY – A Perry County man has been charged with allegedly stealing cash from his employer.

Jeremy A. Gullick, 31, 842 17th St., Tell City, faces counts of burglary, a Class C felony, and theft, a Class D felony.

According to Tell City Patrolman Greg Linne, Gullick worked as an assistant manager of KFC-Taco Bell in Tell City and on Sept. 4, removed $1,385 in cash from the store’s safe. According to a probable-cause affidavit, the alleged theft, which took place just before 1:30 a.m., was captured by a video surveillance camera in the store.

A warrant was issued and Gullick was arrested Sept. 19, on preliminary charges of burglary and theft. He was taken to Perry County Jail. Bond was set at $5,605. (Information about his arrest was available but was excluded from the print edition.)
