My husband and I were visiting my family in Tell City when my husband had a heart attack. I was able to get him to the Perry County Memorial Hospital in less than 10 minutes, where they stabilized him during his attack.
He was then taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville to undergo a heart-catheterization procedure that will give him a new lease on life.
My purpose in writing this letter to the editor is to thank the staff of the Perry County Memorial Hospital emergency room for their lifesaving treatment and to let the people of the Tell City area know how fortunate they are to have such a good hospital, where lifesaving services can be performed.
