TELL CITY – Members of the Tell City Electric Board hope to hire a new superintendent in coming weeks, allowing him or her to work alongside retiring utility chief Marlow Smethurst for the remainder of the year.
Meeting for their regular monthly session Tuesday, the board opted not to conduct a closed executive session to review applicants. But Board Chairman J.B. Land said several applications for the job were received last year and three interviews have been held thus far by telephone.
