USI releases dean’s list
EVANSVILLE – The University of Southern Indiana has published the honors list for the 2010 fall semester. Ronald Rochon, provost, reported that 2,161 students were named to the latest list.
The complete list of names can be viewed online at www.usi.edu. In order to be named to the list, students must achieve a 3.5 or better grade-point average on a 4.0 system.

Tell City schools to host motivational speaker
TELL CITY – Tell City Junior-Senior High and William Tell Elementary schools will host Justin Lookadoo, a high-energy motivational speaker with a message that will target some issues that are of great concern to the school and community.
Lookadoo has given more than 3,500 presentations, speaking to more than half a million students, has appeared on many TV and radio talk shows and is a best-selling author.
He will be at the high-school auditorium to speak to sixth- through 12th-grade students at the following times today. Each presentation will be approximately 45 minutes to an hour in duration.
Freshmen through seniors – 10 a.m.
Seventh- through eighth-graders – 11:30 a.m.
Sixth-graders – 12:45 p.m.
The schools’ staff encourages parents and the community to take part in this special event. If you are planning to attend, sign in at the front office and then proceed to the auditorium.

Freshmen orientation for Tell City students
TELL CITY – Tell City Junior-Senior High School will hold freshmen orientation for the 2011-12 school year at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15 in the high-school auditorium. All current eighth-grade students and their parents need to attend.
Students and parents will be given information about high-school diploma tracks, scheduling and graduation requirements. Representatives from 21st Century Scholars will be present to provide information about their program.
Principal Brad Ramsey and counselors will be on hand to explain requirements and answer questions.
