LEOPOLD - Lanesville scored 10 runs in the fourth inning to beat Perry Central 15-8 in baseball Wednesday.
The Eagles had seven hits, drew four walks and took advantage of one Perry Central error (the Commo-dores' only error of the game) in that big inning.
The last seven runs of the inning were unearned because of the error.
The Eagles outhit Perry Central 18-11 for the game, getting four doubles. "They were aggressive at the plate," said Perry Central Coach Ty Guillaume.
Michael Jarboe and Dejay Shaw each had two hits for Perry Central and Wes Linette hit a triple.
Shaw and Linette each drove in two runs.
Tony Backer, the first of three Perry Central pitchers, was charged with the loss. He struck out seven and gave up 11 hits and three walks in 41?3 innings.
Perry Central lost a road game to Wood Memorial 5-2 Friday.
"We hit the ball hard but we hit it right at them," said Guillaume of that game. "We had 15 fly outs. And they blooped it in over the infield against us."
Jarboe went 3 for 4 and Linette 2 for 4 to lead Perry Central's eight-hit attack.
Linette drove in two runs to give him 15 RBIs for the season. That is just one short of Bo Gibson's team lead despite Linette's missing the first four games of the season.
Perry Central, 5-10, will visit Paoli for a PLAC game today at 5 p.m.
