TELL CITY – The driver of a tractor-trailer loaded with locally made rotors overturned his rig late Tuesday just a few hundred yards from his destination.
According to Perry County Sheriff’s Deputy Junior Fuchs, the rig rolled onto its side a few minutes before midnight on an access road leading to ATTC Manufacturing. The driver and an apparent passenger were nowhere to be found, Fuchs said.
“I was told they had a truck parked here and drove off after it happened,” Fuchs said.
Police contacted area emergency rooms but it was unclear if the male driver or his passenger was injured.
The rotors in the trailer were made at Waupaca and were being transported to ATTC. Employees transferred the rotors from the trailer to waiting boxes for transport to another semi.
