Dixon earns dean’s, president’s lists spots

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Rebecca “Becky” Dixon, an English and Spanish major at Kentucky Wesleyan College, has earned spots on the dean’s and president’s lists for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years.

She has also received the John Combs Award for Literature and maintained a 3.9 grade-point average. The dean’s list requires a student to have at least a 3.5 GPA.
The president’s list is for students who are recognized for the highest academic accomplishments at KWC each semester.
Dixon will complete her bachelor’s degree in three years and will graduate in May 2014. She plans to attend graduate school become an English-Spanish professor.
Dixon was home schooled from kindergarten through 10th grade. She graduated in 2011 from Perry Central High school. She is the daughter of Bryan and Diane Dixon of Rome and the granddaughter of Doug and Lucille Mathena of Rome and Vincent and Earline Unger of Ashton, Ill.
