Mystery theater will benefit arts association

TELL CITY – The Pink Lace Diamond. It's a classic murder mystery that will play out before the eyes of guests Jan. 24 as the Tell City Regional Arts Association sponsors a murder-mystery theater.

"The guests become detectives and try to figure out who did it," said Cheri Taylor, executive director of the Perry County Chamber of Commerce and member of the arts association.

The mystery involves the discovery of a dead body at a plush resort and a large pink diamond.

Each table of diners will be given clues to help them solve the murder as the rest of the drama, with all of its twists and turns, is acted out in front of guests turned sleuths. The crime is solved in the final act.

The dinner theater begins at 6 p.m. and will be held at Bill & Dave's Smokin' Pit in Tell City. Tickets are $25 and includes a buffet meal of fried and barbecue chicken, pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, mixed vegetables, broccoli casserole and dessert. Seating is limited.

Tickets are available at the chamber of commerce office at 601 Main St. or at the Tell City-Perry County Public Library.

Proceeds benefit the activities of the arts association.
