Defense helps Tell City girls win two in a row

TELL CITY - Tell City used strong showings on defense to win girls basketball games Thursday and Friday.

The Marksmen held Southridge to a season-low point total as they beat the Raiders 35-18 in a PAC game Thursday.

The Raiders, who fell to 0-2 in the conference and 0-7 overall, hit only 16.1 percent from the field.

They did not reach double figures in points until 2:30 left in the third quarter.

The Marksmen also got off to a slow start, leading only 9-6 at halftime after hitting just 4 of 18 shots from the field.
