Davis 4th in 3200 in track regional

EVANSVILLE - Tell City junior Tiffany Davis placed fourth in the 3200-meter run to lead Perry County athletes in the IHSAA girls track regional Tuesday.

Tell City also scored three sixth places to score 14 points. The Marksmen finished 15th among 26 teams that scored.

Castle won the team title with 73.5 points.

Davis ran the 3200 in 12:13.96, her best this year.

She just missed qualifying for the state meet. The top eight finishers in each event scored but only the top three qualified for state.
