CANNELTON — A dance beginning at 6 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Cannelton American Legion hall at 516 Knight St., will raise money to help defray medical and related costs for a 1-year-old child attacked by a dog Oct. 29.

Chandler Humphrey was to have undergone a third surgery Nov. 11 at Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky., for an injury to his forehead.

His parents, Daniel Humphrey and Ashley Demme, are unable to work due to medical appointments and frequent trips to Louisville. The benefit will feature entertainment by Oddbody.

Grilled hamburgers and cheeseburgers and hot dogs, chili, baked goods and soft drinks will be on sale, and door prizes will be given away.
