ST. CROIX – A chimney fire caused minimal damage to a home in St. Croix Feb. 25 after residents stopped its spread.
Central Perry Fire Department Chief Brian Suhreinrich said the fire at 12099 South St. was caught early after heat found its way through a crack.
Firefghters were called at 7:35 p.m. and all trucks were back in the station in less than an hour.
