CRAWFORD COUNTY – State police said a Crawford County sheriff’s deputy was injured Friday morning from a self-inflicted gundshot wound.
Troopers received a a call at 2:30 a.m. EST that a a deputy was found shot inside his home near English. State police said Deputy Jesse Belcher, 26, finished his shift Thursday night at 10 p.m. and was at home. Sometime between 1:30 and 2 a.m., Belcher called another Crawford County deputy and after talking for a few minutes he hung up.
