TELL CITY - Perry County voters swung strong support to local, state and national Democratic candidates Tuesday, giving the party a clean sweep of county races and helping Barack Obama win Indiana's 11 electoral votes en route to a White House win.
Turnout was strong in the county, with 8,680 votes cast. However, that number was only slightly higher than the 8,520 votes cast in the general election in 2004 but well more than the 7,636 votes counted in November 2000.
