CANNELTON — The Perry County Parks and Recreation Department received two donations Wednesday to help develop its parks.
The Perry County Community Foundation donated $9,200 to the parks board to erect a second shelter house at Eagles Bluff Park overlooking the Cannelton Locks and Dam.
Foundation Director Sally Houzanme and community foundation board member Pat Crawford presented the check to Edd Ransom, president of the parks and recreation board.
The community foundation also provided the funds for the first shelter built at Eagles Bluff.
