TELL CITY - The Perry County commissioners agreed in a regular meeting Monday to vacate unimproved rights-of-way in an area of rugged terrain behind the Ponderosa Steak House.
The area south of Indiana 37 and east of Dauby Lane is owned by Jeff and Glenda Kast. Jeff Kast said after the meeting in attempting to refinance his property, he learned new plat maps show rights-of-way encroaching on his garage.
Older maps, thought to be less accurate, showed adequate clearance between the rights-of-way and his building, he explained.
