PERRY COUNTY – The Tell City and Perry Central marching bands are teaming up to host the first Two Bands-One Goal 5k Fun Run-Walk June 2 at Legion Field in Tell City.
Check in will begin at 7 a.m. and the run-walk will start at 8. This is a “fun” run-walk with no official times given or age-group prizes scheduled. However, there will be several drawings and the top male and female runners will receive priz-es.
The event will focus on celebrating healthy living, will benefit both schools and is supported by the Perry County Wellness Committee and Run Perry County.
“The definition of a Perry County marching band member is many things and very complex,” a news release from organizers stated. “They are not only considered musicians and artists, but also athletes. They entertain, maintain school spirit, maintain discipline and integrity and they represent Perry County during competitions.”
