TELL CITY - Regina Schaefer was reappointed to the Tell City-Perry County Library Board by the Perry County commissioners, adding four years to a term that expires Dec. 31.

County Administrator Charlotte Rogier told the commissioners at their Oct. 22 meeting Schaefer had requested the reappointment.

Chet Mathena also indicated a willingness to serve on the Lincoln Hills Development Corp. Board of Directors, she said, to fill a vacancy created when Janice Pruitt moved. The commissioners approved that assignment.

In other business, they approved a request from County Prosecutor Bob Collins to spend $2,298 from the county's law-enforcement fund to provide two computers to the Tell City Police Department. Money for the fund is provided through a variety of non-tax sources, including cash seized from criminals or voluntarily surrendered through plea or other agreements.

County Auditor Connie Berger said a food drive will be conducted this year in support of a United Way program. A box was to be placed in the courthouse kitchen for donations.
