PERRY COUNTY - Perry County Auditor Connie Berger reminds personal-property mobile-home owners that the filing period for property-tax deductions and credits continues until March 31.

Personal-property mobile-home owners are defined as those mobile-home owners who do not own the real estate on which their mobile homes are situated. Deductions filed by March 31 will be applied to personal-property mobile-home tax statements to be mailed this year.

Any personal-property mobile-home owners who have filed deductions in a previous year do not need to refile deductions this year unless the mobile home has been moved, a different mobile home has been purchased or refinancing has occurred.

Again this year, personal-property mobile-home owners will not receive notices of assessment from the county assessor's office.

Owners of personal-property mobile homes should verify with the county auditor's office whether deductions are on file are if new deductions need to be filed.

Call the office at 547-6427 or visit between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
