Ward counters recommendations from commission
TELL CITY - Mendy Ward isn't convinced a plan proposed by the Indiana Commission on Local Government Reform is good for Perry County.
The county assessor said Thursday suggestions contained in a 46-page report prepared by the commission could cause problems in several areas.
Formed by Gov. Mitch Daniels last summer to examine the structures of local government and make recommendations intended to reduce the costs that go into them, the commission released its findings in December.
