PERRY COUNTY - The Indiana Department of Agriculture's Division of Soil Conservation and the State Soil Conservation Board have awarded the soil and water conservation districts in Perry and Spencer counties $2,000 each in Clean Water Indiana grants.
A total of $350,000 will be awarded across the state to reduce the loss of nutrients and sediment. Eighty-two districts applied for and received conservation-marketing initiative grants to market the adoption of local sediment and nutrient management practices.
