McBrayer suggests sandstone curbs be raised

Managing Editor
CANNELTON – Cannelton Fire Chief Chris Herzog said a fire truck his city purchased from Tell City passed tests it underwent recently and some members of his department will recognize it.

Cannelton Common Council members voted in a special meeting May 1 to purchase the vehicle from the Tell City Volunteer Fire Department for $40,000. Mayor Mary Snyder said she’d made an offer – contingent on council approval – that included four annual $5,000 installments and two at $10,000 plus 5-percent interest.
