TELL CITY - The Tell City Common Council is expected to discuss a proposed ordinance at members' meeting Sept. 8 that would prohibit and smoking and the use of other tobacco products from another four city parks. The council has discussed making Hagedorn Park, Dennis Kress Memorial Park, Kiwanis Park and Roy Fenn Park tobacco-free.

The council voted this spring to make City Hall and City Hall Park tobacco free. At-large County Councilman Tony Hollinden said the other four parks were chosen because they host youth activities, including baseball, softball and other sporting events.

The council will solicit input from the public during the September council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the upstairs chamber of City Hall.
