CORYDON - Perry Central committed 28 turnovers and hit just 30.0 percent from the field in a 71-25 season-opening girls basketball loss to Corydon Friday.
The Commodores committed 11 turnovers in the first quarter as they fell behind 21-2.
Corydon used a full-court press and then a half-court trap to force turnovers, which they turned into easy baskets at the other end.
"We just made way too many turnovers if we're going to compete," said Perry Central Coach Sarah Spindler.
"And they scored off every opportunity."
