CORRECTED - Substance-abuse workshops to be offered Thursday

TELL CITY - Dr. George R. Ross will present several free workshops about teenage substance abuse Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Tell City for the public and specialized groups.

From 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Ross will talk about fundamental elements of effective treatment and goals, objectives and treatment strategies. In the afternoon session, from 1 to 4 p.m., he will share ways to develop a plan of action and talk about the SIGNALS and FOUR PIERS programs. He will also present from 7 to 9 p.m. a parent session called "How Can You Tell If Your Normal Teenager is Normal?"
