Big T’s Trade Day set for Saturday
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club will hold its annual Big T’s Trade Day from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the club’s property on Summer Road.
The public is invited to participate.
Past trading goods have included horse tack, tools, furniture, fencing supplies, household appliances, chickens, ducks, other animals and much more.

Community Ash Wednesday service
CANNELTON – A community Ash Wednesday Service will be held at Cannelton United Meth-odist Church located at 214 S. Third St. in Cannelton. Service begins at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

K of C ladies March meeting set
TELL CITY – Knights of Col-umbus Ladies Auxiliary will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. March 14. This will be a short business meeting followed by an informational program and social hour.
The auxiliary will give away a quilt April 22. Tickets are available at the club or from auxiliary members. If you have not received your tickets, contact any auxiliary officer or call 548-0821.
All members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Tractor association to host meal Saturday
BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Association will hold a meal and short meeting Saturday at the Branchville clubhouse.
Doors will open at 4 p.m. and the meal will be served at 5. The club will furnish meat, plates and silverware. Guests are asked to take a covered dish and drinks.

PC Parks & Rec Board to meet
CANNELTON – The Perry County Parks and Recreation Board will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Eagles Bluff Park, just outside of Cannelton.

PCMH desk volunteers meeting
TELL CITY – There will be a meeting for Perry County Memorial Hospital information desk volunteers Monday.
It will be held in Conference Room C at 1 p.m. Randy Dennison, vice president of support services at PCMH, will be the speaker. All are encouraged to attend and meet the other volunteers.

Grief support group meeting
TELL CITY – A grief support group meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the First United Methodist Church in Tell City. The meeting is open to the public.

Rome Fire Department chili supper
ROME – The Rome Volunteer Fire Department will hold a chili supper beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Rome Community Center.
A country store will be set up and sell pies, cakes, cookies, bread, candies, canned goods and more. The menu for the supper will be chili, sandwiches, chips, cookies and a drink. For more information, contact Dennis James at 836-2328.

Conservation Club euchre tourney Saturday
LEOPOLD – The Leopold Conservation Club will host a euchre tourney March 12 at the clubhouse. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games will start at 7. Food and refreshments will be available. There will be no smoking during the tourneys.
Cost is $5.

Boy Scout troop to hold fish dinner
TELL CITY – Boy Scout Troop 192 will host an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 18 at St. Paul Catholic Church Parish Hall.
Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children. Carryout will be available.

PC spring fling dance March 18
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central Captains Club will sponsor its annual spring fling dance for Perry Central students in fifth- through eighth-grades.
The dance is set for 6 to 8:30 p.m. March 18. The cost is $5.

You Are What You Eat program
TELL CITY – The Purdue Extension Service invites the community to attend a “You Are What You Eat” program from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 21 at Schergens Center in Tell City. Attend and learn how to make healthy food choices based on the latest dietary guidelines. Refreshments will be served and the program is free. Call Purdue Extension to make reservations at 547-7084.

Horseman’s club euchre games
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club will host euchre games March 19 at the clubhouse on Summer Road, just north of Tell City.
The event is open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7 p.m. Hot dogs, chili, desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be served.
The clubhouse is a nonsmoking facility. For more information, call 836-2127.

Euchre tourneys in Tell City
TELL CITY – Hoosier Heights Country Club will hold a euchre tournament at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Another tourney will be held by the American Legion Post 213 at 7 p.m. Thursday at the post in Tell City.
The public is invited to attend.

Humane society meeting Tuesday
TELL CITY – The Humane Society of Perry County will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will take place at Fifth Third Bank in Tell City.

VNA Plus to offer blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – Visiting Nurse Association Plus will offer free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings at Twilight Towers in Tell City.
Screenings are scheduled from 8:30 to 10 a.m. March 15 at Wal-Mart in Tell City and from 9 to 10 a.m. March 22 at Twilight Towers. For more information call VNA at 547-7967.
