K of C ladies March meeting set
TELL CITY – Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. today. This will be a short business meeting followed by an informational program and social hour.
The auxiliary will give away a quilt April 22. Tickets are available at the club or from auxiliary members.
If you have not received your tickets, contact any auxiliary officer or call 548-0821.
All members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Grief support group meeting
TELL CITY – A grief support group meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Tell City. The meeting is open to the public.

Local Relay team selling Butter Braids
TELL CITY – The German American Relay for Life team is selling Butter Braids frozen pastry just in time for Easter.
The pastries are $11 each, will serve 11 people and are easy to fix, GA team members said.
To prepare the pastries, you will need to let them thaw and rise to double in size then bake.
Choices of braids are apple, bavarian crème with chocolate icing, caramel roll with caramel glaze, cherry, cinnamon, cream cheese or raspberry.
Deadline to order is April 1 and delivery date will be April 6. Anyone who wishes to view the braids can visit www.butterbraid.com.

Boy Scout troop to hold fish dinner Friday
TELL CITY – Boy Scout Troop 192 will host an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church Parish Hall.
Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children.
Carryout will be available.

PC spring fling dance Friday
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central Captains Club will sponsor its annual spring fling dance for Perry Central students in grades 5 through 8.
The dance is set for 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. The cost is $5.

Perry Central NHS to sell dinners
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central chapter of the National Honor Society will host a chicken dinner sale in Leopold Park, March 20.
Dinners are $7 and serving will begin at 10 a.m.

You Are What You Eat program March 21
TELL CITY – The Purdue Extension office invites the community to attend a “You Are What You Eat” program from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 21 at Schergens Center in Tell City.
Attend to learn how to make healthy food choices based on the latest dietary guidelines. Refreshments will be served and the program is free. Call Purdue Extension at 547-7084 to make reservations.

Conservation Club euchre tourney March 26
LEOPOLD – The Leopold Conservation Club will host a euchre tourney March 26 at the clubhouse. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games will start at 7.
Food and refreshments will be available. There will be no smoking during the tourneys.
Cost is $5.

PC Coon club to host shooting match
TELL CITY – The Perry County Coon Club will hold a shooting match March 20 at the club.
The ham shoot starts at 11:30 a.m., with the closed match getting under way at 2:30 p.m. The shoot will be for ham, pork and beef and first choice will be half a beef.

Red Cross to host course March 25
TELL CITY – The Perry County Red Cross will conduct a health care provider-professional rescuer class Friday, March 25.
The class will meet at Fifth Third Bank, Indiana 66 in Tell City, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $65 per person.

Horseman’s club euchre games Saturday
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club will host euchre games Saturday at the clubhouse on Summer Road, just north of Tell City.
The event is open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7 p.m. Hot dogs, chili, desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be served.
The clubhouse is a nonsmoking facility.

K of C to sell barbecued- chicken dinners
TELL CITY – The Knights of Columbus Council 1172 will serve barbecued-chicken dinners at 12th and Tell streets in Tell City March 27.
Serving will start at 10:30 a.m. Dinners will include half a chicken, creek fries and green beans. The price per dinner is $7.

VNA Plus to offer blood- pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – Visiting Nurse Association Plus will offer free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings at Twilight Towers in Tell City.
Screenings are scheduled from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wal-Mart in Tell City and from 9 to 10 a.m. March 22 at Twilight Towers.

Euchre at the Sportsman
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Saturday, March 19 at the club.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m.
There will be six 20-minute games with prizes awarded. Refreshments will be provided.

Boys and Girls clubs continue collecting cars
PERRY COUNTY – Many Boys and Girls Clubs are currently running car campaigns.
Donated cars are sold at auction and the funds generated help support the clubs’ many programs.
