Oakwood to host Alzheimer’s Family Forum
TELL CITY – Oakwood Health Campus will host an Alzheimer’s Family Forum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Assisted Living Dining Room.
The presentation will be hosted by Holly Will of Vista Care Hospice. Everyone is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Marching Marksmen pizza fundraiser
TELL CITY – The Tell City Marching Marksmen will partner with Chicago’s Pizza in Tell City for a fundraising event from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 23.
For $8.50, customers can dine on the all-you-can-eat pizza buffet. Proceeds will help the Marching Marksmen.

Horseman club will sponsor euchre games
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman Club will host euchre games now through March. Events are planned for Saturday, Feb. 4, Feb. 18, March 3, 17 and 31.
Chili, hot dogs, desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be available at 6 p.m. with games at 7. Cost at the door is $5 per person.

Euchre games in Fulda Saturday
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Saturday at the club in Fulda. 
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m. The tourney will consist of six 20-minute games with prizes to be awarded at the end of play. 
Refreshments will be provided.  The public is welcome to attend.

VFW members to celebrate history Saturday
TELL CITY – Members of Tell City Veterans of Foreign Wars Winchell-Vogel Post 2939 will celebrate its 78-year anniversary with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the post home.
The dinner is for members only, including the ladies and men’s auxiliaries. To attend, members are asked to take a covered dish. The post will furnish the meat.
A dance, which will be open to the public, will begin at 8 p.m. and entertainment will be provided by Leo Gronquist and The Paradise Band.
Cover charge will be $5 per person at the door.

St. Meinrad Legion to host dance
ST. MEINRAD – St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366 will host a Valentine Dine and Dance Feb. 11 at the St. Meinrad American Legion Hall.
Tickets need to be purchased in advance at the Legion home or by calling (812) 357-5583.  Admission price of $15 per person includes meal, drinks and dance. Music will be provided by The Good Times Country Band.  The meal will be served at 5:30 p.m.

VNA Plus blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus will hold blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings each month at Twilight Towers.
The next screening will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Jan. 26.

PCMH to offer screenings Tuesdays
TELL CITY – Perry County Memorial Hospital will hold blood-pressure and blood-screenings every Tuesday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Wal-Mart in Tell City.
The screenings will be offered free of charge to the public.

Planning commission to meet
FERDINAND – The regular meeting of the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission’s board of directors will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at the commission’s office, located at 221 E. First St., in Ferdinand.

Hoosier Day in Sebring
SEBRING, Fla. – The annual Hoosier Day in Sebring has been scheduled for Feb. 4 at Homer’s Buffet at the corner of Highway 27 and Sebring Parkway across from Wal-Mart.
Sign in is at 11 a.m. and the meal will be at noon.

Southern Indiana reunion set for Feb. 9 in Sarasota
SARASOTA, Fla. – An annual southern Indiana reunion will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 9 at the Super Buffet VI in the Sarasota Crossings Shopping Center, 5471 Fruitville Road, in Sarasota.
The reunion was formerly held in Venice, Fla. Anyone from southern Indiana and their friends are welcome to attend.
