Old National silent auction to end April 27
TELL CITY – Old National’s Relay For Life team is hosting a silent auction to raise money for their team. The auction will run until April 27 at the Main Street location in Tell City.
There are many items to bid on. The public is encouraged to stop by and check out the auction.
Beta Sigma Phi to meet today
TELL CITY – Mu Gamma chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet at 6 p.m. today at Evangelical United Church of Christ. Hostesses will be Saffron Ragan, Judy Roberts, Tina Ziegelgruber and Mary Hackle.
St. Paul chicken dinner fundraiser Sunday
TELL CITY – St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City will host a chicken-dinner fundraiser from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the corner of 12th and Tell streets in Tell City.
Dinners will include chicken, creek fries and green beans. Cost is $7. All proceeds will help fund a youth mission trip.
Sonshine’s rummage sale in April
NEW BOSTON – Sonshine Early Learning Ministry will host a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 19, 20 and 21 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, one mile west of New Boston.
The sales will be held rain or shine. Items will include clothing for women, men and children of all ages, toys, furniture, purses, home decor and bedding. A pair of used shoes will be given out with every purchase and all items will be half price April 21.
Soup, homemade pies, cookies, breads, rolls and kuchen will also be available for purchase.
Euchre at the Sportsman Saturday
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Saturday at the club in Fulda. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m. All times are CDT.
Prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be provided. The public is invited to attend.
Leopold yard sale set for April 20, 21, 22

BRANCHVILLE – Go-cart races will be held at the Branchville Conservation Club April 28 starting at 5 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

Ohio Valley Tractor Association to meet
BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Association will meet at 7 p.m. April 26 at the Branchville Club House. All members are encouraged to attend as the group will vote on the Perry Central student to receive the association’s scholarship. For more information, contact Ed Guillaume at 843-5746.
Evanston community sales to be held April 21
EVANSTON – The Evanston Civic Association will hold a community sale April 21 at the ballpark under the shelter house. Sales will start at 7 a.m.
Yard-sale items, new items, crafts and wooden items, perennial plants and lots of miscellaneous will be sold. Breakfast and lunch concessions will be available also.
PC Republican Lincoln Day dinner April 30
TELL CITY – The Perry County Republicans will host a Lincoln Day Dinner April 30 at Tell City American Legion. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. and dinner will start at 6 p.m.
Greg Zoeller, state attorney general, will be the guest speaker.
Dinner will be catered by Bill and Dave’s Smokin’ Pit. Cost is $12 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 547-6156. Tickets will also be available at the door.
VNA Plus blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus conducts blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings each month at Twilight Towers.
The next screening will be from 9 to 10 a.m. April 26. For more information, call VNA at 547-7967.
PCMH to offer screenings Tuesdays
TELL CITY – Perry County Memorial Hospital will conduct blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings every Tuesday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Wal-Mart in Tell City.

Cookbooks to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Association
TELL CITY – Anita Sanders, team captain for Kroessman Krusaders Alzheimer’s fundraising team, and co-chair Nadina Paulin are selling cookbooks to raise money for the 2012 Memory Walk benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
The books sell for $12.50 each and all proceeds go to the association. Anyone interested in purchasing a book can contact Sanders at 547-6787 or 719-0816.
School recycling PSC telephone books
TELL CITY – Tell City Junior-Senior High School will recycle old Perry-Spencer Communications telephone books through Tuesday.
