Fundraiser yard sale
TELL CITY – A week-long yard sale will be held at 1326 Main St., in Tell City to help raise funds for Joshua Goatley, who needs a kidney transplant.
The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today through Saturday and will include a large variety of items. Any donations for the sale will be accepted.

Proceeds from the sale will go toward Goatley’s medical costs.

Tractor ride, hog roast Saturday in Branchville
BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Association will sponsor a tractor ride and hog roast Saturday. The tractor ride will begin at 1 p.m. at Branchville. Tractors will do a circular route and then return to Branchville.
A hog roast meal will be served at 4 p.m. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish and drinks. A donation of $ 10 per tractor will be collected to offset the costs of the roast.
Membership dues for the association will also be collected at this time.

Euchre games at conservation club
LEOPOLD – The Leopold Conservation Club will host euchre games Saturday and Oct. 22 at the clubhouse.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with games beginning at 7.
Refreshments will be served.

No planning commission meeting in September
FERDINAND – Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission’s executive board will not meet in September.
Advance notice will be sent for the next scheduled meeting.

Orscheln selling produce for March of Dimes
TELL CITY – Orscheln Farm and Home is now selling homegrown produce. All proceeds are donated to the Perry-Spencer March of Dimes.
Anyone interested in donating garden produce for the March of Dimes can call the store at 547-7444.

VNA Plus to offer blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – Visiting Nurse Association Plus will offer free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings in Tell City.
Screenings are scheduled from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wal-Mart and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Twilight Towers.

Scenic Hills to host car show Friday
FERDINAND – Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand will host its annual car show at 6 p.m. Friday at Scenic Hills, 311 E. First St., Ferdinand.
Participants will need to register by Tuesday by calling (812) 367-2299. Music will be provided by Recycled Teenagers.
Prizes will be drawn throughout the evening and hot dogs and root-beer floats will be served.

Perry Central All School class reunion
LEOPOLD – Perry Central Community School will host an all-school class reunion for graduates of Oil Township, Bristow and Perry Central high schools Sept. 30 before the Perry Central vs. Paoli football game.
Alumni and their families can take tours of Perry Central, visit with old friends and enjoy the football game under the Friday night lights.
Chicken and pork-chop dinners will be available. The number of meals is limited. You can pre-order your meals by visiting www.pccs.k12.in.us and printing the alumni form and mailing it to Perry Central High School in care of Jody French. 
Meals will be served beginning at 5 p.m.

Grief support group meeting at First UMC
TELL CITY – A grief support group meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month at the First United Methodist Church in Tell City. The meeting is open to the public.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday.

Halloween camp at Hoosier National lakes
PERRY COUNTY – Hoosier National Forest’s Tipsaw, Indian and Celina lakes will host the annual Halloween campout Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and 2.
Camps will be judged for best decorations and a costume contest will be held.
Games, door prizes and a haunted trail will be included in the activities for the weekend.

Co-ed softball tourney set for Oct. 1 in Tell City
TELL CITY – A co-ed softball tourney will be held Oct. 1 at the Tell City men’s softball field.
Cost is $100 per team. Teams must have at least four girls playing and have at least 10 people on the team.
