Tractor association to meet today
BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. today at the Branchville Conservation Club.
New members are always welcome to attend.

Benefit bake sale Saturday for Tyler Zoglman
TELL CITY – A benefit bake sale for Tyler Zoglman will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the 16th Street Community Building.
All proceeds from the sale will go to help his family with expenses due to cancer. The community’s help is appreciated.

TCRAA to gather Tuesday
PERRY COUNTY – The Tell City Regional Arts Association will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall in Tell City.
The group is trying to expand the association. Anyone interested in the arts and who are artists, writers or entertainers are welcome to attend.

Ferdinand Legion to host shooting match
FERDINAND – Ferdinand American Legion will host shooting matches every Friday night for beef and pork.
The closed match will start at 8:30 p.m. First choice is half a beef.

Parks and rec meeting Wednesday
TELL CITY – The Perry County Parks and Recreation Board of Directors will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the County Annex in Cannelton.

John Williams Memorial poker run Sept. 10
TELL CITY – The John Williams Memorial Poker Run will be held at Braunies Bar, 318 Main Street, Tell City Sept. 10 with a rain date of Sept 11. Registration is from 9 to 11 a.m.
All bikes will head out at 11. All bikes will need to be in at 4:30 p.m. 
Cost is $10 per hand and $15 for a double. Meal, door prizes and a half pot will also be available. All vehicles are welcome.

Cornhole tourney set for Sept. 10
BRANCHVILLE – The Branchville Conservation Club will host a cornhole tourney at the club Sept. 10. The tourney will be a bring-your-own partner, double-elimination tournament.
Registration will be at 11 a.m. with games starting at noon. There will be a cash payout to the first- , second- and third-place teams. Cost is $10 per team.
Pork dinners will be served starting at 1 p.m. and a horse fun show will follow the tourney at 5 p.m.

Orscheln selling produce for March of Dimes
TELL CITY – Orscheln Farm and Home Supply is now selling homegrown produce. All proceeds are donated to the Perry-Spencer March of Dimes.
Anyone interested in donating garden produce for the March of Dimes can call the store at 547-7444.

Aluminum can drive for Humane Society
TELL CITY – The Perry County Democrats are holding their annual aluminum can drive at the Democratic Headquarters on the corner of Rubens and 12th streets in Tell City.
All proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society.

Perry Central football families to meet Sept. 13
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central football families will gather for a meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Perry Central High School study hall room.

VNA Plus to offer blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – Visiting Nurse Association Plus will offer free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings in Tell City.
Screenings are scheduled from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Sept. 6 and 20 at Wal-Mart and from 9 to 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at Twilight Towers.

Social Security reps to visit Tell City
TELL CITY – A representative from the Social Security office will be available to answer questions and provide information to county residents during the coming months.
Most Social Security business can be conducted by phone; however, if you prefer, you can meet with a representative from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 14 at City Hall in Tell City.

Grief support group meeting Sept. 20
TELL CITY – A grief support group meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month at the First United Methodist Church in Tell City. The meeting is open to the public.
The next meeting will be held Sept. 20.

Co-ed softball tourney Oct. 1
TELL CITY – A co-ed softball tourney will be held Oct. 1 at the Tell City men’s softball field.
Cost is $100 per team. Teams must have at least three girls playing and have at least 10 people on the team.
