Christmas bazaar at Golden Living
TELL CITY – Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills resident council will hold its annual Christmas bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
The event will be held in the main hallway. Candy, baked items, crafts, new and gently used items and more will be for sale.
All proceeds from the bazaar will go to the resident council. The public is invited to attend.

Substance abuse committee to meet
TELL CITY – The Perry County Substance Abuse Committee board of directors will meet at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical United Church of Christ.

Alzheimer’s group meeting Dec. 7
TELL CITY – The Alzheimer’s support group will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7 in the fellowship hall at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City. The meetings are open for support and information for those affected by Alzheimer’s.

Legion to host dinner Dec. 10
TELL CITY – Tell City American Legion Post 213 will host a special dinner Dec. 10.
The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. and is open to the public.
The menu will include fiddlers, baked potato and salad. Cost is $6.95 per plate.

Blood drive opportunity Dec. 10
TELL CITY – A blood donation opportunity will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.
All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supple for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license is required at check-in.
Individuals who are 17 years, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

PC Republican Christmas party
TELL CITY – The Perry County Republicans will host a Christmas party for the community Thursday at the Tell City American Legion.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:15.
The meal will be catered by Bill & Dave’s Smokin’ Pit. Music will be provided by Crosswinds.
Cost is $12 per person and children 14 years and younger eat for free. A cash bar will also be open.

PC Democrats to host Christmas party
TELL CITY – Perry County Democrats will hold a Christmas party Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Democrat headquarters in Tell City.
Social hour will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meat and drinks will be provided. Everyone is asked to take a covered dish if possible.
Door prizes will also be awarded during the evening. The party is free and open to the public.

Twenty-First Scholars winter celebration
PERRY COUNTY – The Twenty-First Century Scholar Families winter celebration will be held Saturday.
Reservations are required by Tuesday.
Twenty-First Century Scholar participants living in Perry and Spencer counties may make reservations by calling toll-free at (888) 772-4652.

Horseman’s club euchre tourney
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club will have a euchre tourney Saturday, Dec. 4, at the clubhouse on Summer Road, just north of Tell City.
The event is open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7 p.m. Hot dogs, chili and coffee will be served.

Orscheln’s clinic, toy drive in December
TELL CITY – Orscheln Farm and Home Store will sponsor a free kids clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 4.
Kids are invited to attend and make “Magic Reindeer Food.”
Orscheln is also conducting a toy drive for Toys for Tots.
Take new toys to the Orscheln store as a donation by Dec. 15 to ensure the kids get them before Christmas.
