Musicians, boosters fruit sale ends today
TELL CITY – Tell City High School Marching Marksmen and their band boosters are conducting their annual fruit-sale fundraiser until Nov. 28.
The fruit includes oranges, tangerines, tangelos, grapefruit, apples and pears in single-fruit packages or boxes containing different combinations. Costs range from $18 to $63.
Orders can be placed by contacting one of the students or calling Lesa Ammon at 719-0346.

Red Cross to offer class Thursday
TELL CITY – The American Red Cross will conduct a professional rescuer and health-care providers class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Fifth Third Bank Community Room.

EUCC salad luncheon Thursday
TELL CITY – The Evangelical United Church of Christ Women’s Guild will sponsor a Christmas salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 1 at the church.
Admission is $8 at the door. The community is invited to attend.
Carryouts will be available.

Golden Living-Lincoln Hills bazaar Friday
TELL CITY—Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills resident council will hold its annual Christmas bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 in the main hallway of the nursing home.
Candy, baked items, crafts, new and gently used items and much more will be for sale.
All proceeds will go to the Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills resident council.
The public is invited to attend.

Hawesville UMC to host bazaar
HAWESVILLE, Ky. – The Hawesville United Methodist Women will hold their annual Christmas bazaar and luncheon at 10 a.m. Saturday. The event will be held in the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 360 Main Street, Hawesville.
The bazaar features home-baked goods, crafts and white elephant tables.
The lunch consists of a choice of chili or vegetable soup, plus a sandwich, dessert and drink for $3.50 per person.

Horseman Club to host euchre games
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman Club will host its last euchre game event of the year Saturday.
Chili, hot dogs, desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be available at 6 p.m. with games at 7.

Euchre games in Fulda Dec. 10
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Dec. 10 at the club in Fulda. 
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m. The tourney will consist of six 20-minute games with prizes to be awarded at the end of play. 
Refreshments will be provided. The public is welcome to attend.

Conservation Club to meet
LEOPOLD – The Leopold Conservation Club will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at the clubhouse.
Members are encouraged to attend. To become a member, call Susie James at 843-5974.
The meeting is held the first Monday of every month, unless a holiday falls on the date. In that case, the meeting is held the first Tuesday.

VNA Plus blood pressure, blood sugar screenings
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus will longer offers free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings at Wal-Mart in Tell City.
Screenings at Twilight Towers will continue, however, there is no scheduled screening time in November due to Thanksgiving holiday.

German American selling candles for Relay
TELL CITY – The three locations of German American in Tell City are selling a selection of candles for Relay for Life.
The candles cost $7 each. Proceeds will benefit the 2012 German American Relay for Life team.

Hoosier Day in Sebring in Feb.
SEBRING, Fla. – The annual Hoosier Day in Sebring has been scheduled for Feb. 4, 2012, at Homer’s Buffet at the corner of Highway 27 and Sebring Parkway across from Wal-Mart.
Sign in is at 11 a.m. and the meal will be at noon.

United Methodist Women to host holiday sale
TELL CITY – The Tell City United Methodist Women will hold a holiday sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 2 and from 7 to 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at the church on 10th and Mozart streets in Tell City.
Baked goods, candy, gently used Christmas decorations and toys will be on sale. White Elephant items will also be available and on sale.

St. John’s Lutheran Church bazaar Saturday
NEW BOSTON – St. John’s Lutheran Church near New Boston will host its annual Christmas bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be crafts, needlework and a variety of goodies, including apple dump-lings, homemade candies and baked goods, including springerlies.
Turnip slaw, jellies and produce will be available. Soups, sandwiches and pie will be available through the day. The congregation’s “famous” soup will be sold by the gallon. Buyers should take their own containers. The public is welcome.

PC Republicans Christmas party set for Saturday
TELL CITY – The Perry County Republicans will host a Christmas party Saturday at Tell City American Legion.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with a dinner catered by Bill and Dave’s Smokin’ Pit to start at 6:45 p.m.
Cost of the meal will be $12 per person and children 14 years and younger will eat for free. There will also be a cash bar.
Entertainment will be provided by SweetWater and Santa might make a special appearance.

Democrats to gather for annual party
TELL CITY – The Perry County Democrats will meet for their annual Christmas party Saturday at the Democrat Headquarters, 12th and Rubens streets in Tell City.
Cost is $5 per person. Social hour will start at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6. For more information, call Dale Groves at 547-2890.

Hoosier Heights Ladies to host auction Wednesday
TELL CITY – The Hoosier Heights Ladies will host their annual auction Wednesday at the Hoosier Heights Country Club in Tell City.
The event will kick off at 7 p.m. In addition to the live auction, there will also be a silent auction where guests may place their bids in advance.
Items will include seasonal as well as other gift items. Baked goods will be available for purchase. A buffet dinner of fried chicken and roast beef will start at 5 p.m.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend the event.

Lincoln Hills Community Chorus concert Sunday
TELL CITY – Lincoln Hills Community Chorus will host a Christmas concert Sunday at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City. The chorus’ presentation will begin at 4 p.m.
Chorus director John Hayes, pianist Jane Upmeyer and all chorus members extend an invitation to the public to attend.
