St. Michael Turkey bingo scheduled
CANNELTON – The St. Michael turkey bingo tournament has been set for 2 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Cannelton Community Center. Tickets are $2 for 25 games.
There will be 20 turkeys and five jackpots. A raffle will also be held for various prizes and money.

FERDINAND – With no pressing business to conduct, there will be no November meeting of the executive board of the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission.

VNA to offer blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – Visiting Nurse Association will offer free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings at Wal-Mart and Twilight Towers in Tell City.
Screenings are scheduled from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wal-Mart and from 9 to 10 a.m. Nov. 23 at Twilight Towers. For more information call VNA at 547-7967.
Horseman’s club euchre tourney
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club will have a euchre tourney Saturday, Nov. 20 at the clubhouse on Summer Road, just north of Tell City.

Local woman to sell items at museum event
EVANSVILLE – The Evansville Museum will present a shopping experience in the Museum’s Old Gallery Friday and Saturday. Artists and craftsmen will offer wearable art, jewelry and sophisticated home décor from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.
Admission is $5 and a portion of all sales benefits the Evansville Museum.
Kathy Pohl Finley of Tell City will attend with her marbled silk-scarves, journals, gift boxes, artwork, antiques and more.
Civil War buffs to meet Nov. 27
TELL CITY – The next Civil War roundtable meeting will be at 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 27 at the Tell City-Perry County Public Library.

Karaoke contest at the Legion
TELL CITY – Tell City American Legion Post 213 is sponsoring a karaoke contest Friday nights at the Legion until Dec. 17.
Qualifying rounds are happening now and final judging will be Dec. 17.
To qualify, contestants must appear four out of the 13 weeks. Special awards will be given for perfect attendance. Judging will be by members of local bands.
Cash prizes will be given Dec. 17
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with qualifying starting at 7. Cover charge is $2 per person. A cash bar and grill will be open at 6 p.m.

Snowbirds to meet in February
SEBRING, Fla. – An annual gathering of local residents who flock to Florida for the winter months will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 5 at Homer’s Restaurant in Sebring, Fla.
The group will meet for lunch and fellowship. Drawings will be made for prizes.
As in the past, attendees will pay at the door, be directed to the correct room and a collection will be made for the waitress’ tip. No reservations are required.

TELL CITY – The Knights of Columbus, 947 11th St., opens its dining room to the public and serves dinners from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday nights.
Fiddlers, catfish filets and tilapia will be offered each week along with fried chicken and ribeye steaks on special.

VFW cornhole tourneys Fridays
TELL CITY – Tell City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 hosts a cornhole tourney every Friday at the post home. Last season and new players are invited to attend.

Perry County chess club to meet Nov. 23
TELL CITY – The Perry County Chess Club will convene its monthly gathering from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23 at the Tell City-Perry County Public Library.
Chess instruction will be given for 30 minutes before participants are allowed to play games for the remaining time.
All participants, including beginners, are welcome to attend.
