Spring into Cooking classes Tuesdays
TELL CITY – The Perry County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau will host “Spring into Cooking” classes for the public.
Classes will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesdays until April 19 at the Schergens Center in Tell City and cost $7 per person.
Classes scheduled are as follows:
Tuesday – James Rash, fish with a flavorful rice and asparagus.
April 5 – Sharla Christian, basic dough
April 12 – Jim Weeks, grilling
April 19 – Donna Adams, pairing foods with wine

PC football family meeting Tuesday
LEOPOLD – A Perry Central Football Families meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Perry Central High School study hall room.

Library friends to meet Tuesday
TELL CITY – Friends of the Tell City-Perry County Public Library will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library.
Plans will be discussed for an upcoming Antiques at the Library event. All members are encouraged to attend.

TCFD to sell chicken dinners April 3
TELL CITY – The Tell City Fire Department will sell barbecued-chicken dinners Sunday at the corner of 12th and Mozart streets in Tell City.
Serving will begin at 10:30 a.m. and cost is $7 per plate. A meal includes one half a barbecued chicken, creek fried potatoes and green beans.

After prom committee fundraiser
TELL CITY – The Tell City Junior-Senior High School After Prom Committee is selling Schwan product now until April 4 to raise funds for this year’s after prom.

PCMH Auxiliary spring meeting set for Friday
TELL CITY – The Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will have its annual spring membership meeting and appreciation breakfast at 9 a.m. Friday in the hospital cafeteria. The annual meeting will follow the breakfast.
Joe Stuber, chief executive officer of the hospital, will be the guest speaker. Several items will be discussed.
All Auxiliary members are encouraged to attend and enjoy the morning.
Any friends or family members who are interested in the auxiliary are invited to attend as well. RSVPs are needed by today.

Cannelton After Prom Committee meeting Saturday
CANNELTON – The Cannelton After-Prom Committee will meet at noon Saturday in the family room of Lawson’s Bar & Grill. Parents and guardians of junior and senior students are urged to attend.
The after prom will be held April 30 in the Cannelton Community Center. Parents and guardians of sophomore students are also invited to attend. Contact Lisa Hav-ener at 608-0863 or 547-7466 for more information.

Nursing home to honor volunteers
TELL CITY – Golden Living Center – Lincoln Hills will host a volunteer recognition April 7.
The event will start with a program at 2 p.m. honoring volunteers.
Refreshments will be served after. The public is invited to attend.

Alphi Phi chapter gathering April 7
TELL CITY – The Alpha Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma will meet at 6 p.m. April 7 at Bill & Dave’s Smokin’ Pit. Don Etienne will be the guest speaker. There will be a book exchange. Hostesses are Susan New-kirk, Maria Sweat and Mary Jane Beckort.
Delta Kappa Gamma is an honorary society of women educators. Alpha Phi Chapter serves Perry and Spencer Counties.

Lunch and Learn at Oakwood
TELL CITY – Oakwood Health Campus will host a Lunch and Learn at noon April 13. The event will feature Dr. Dennis Beck, orthopedic surgeon with Orthopedic Associates in Evansville.
Beck will speak on the coordination of care between personal-care physicians and specialists. The public is invited to attend. Lunch will be provided at no charge. RSVP to Oakwood Health Campus at 547-2333.

Twilight Towers breakfast fundraiser Saturday
TELL CITY – Twilight Towers will hold a breakfast fundraiser Saturday starting at 7 a.m. in the dining room at 1648 10th St., Tell City.
The event is open to the public. The menu includes biscuits and gravy, orange juice and coffee. A half-order will be $1, a full order will be $2 and orange juice and coffee 50 cents each.
