Parent enrichment program at Early Head Start
TELL CITY – Lincoln Hills Development Corp. Early Head Start invites the public to attend a Parent Enrichment Program from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at LHDC Early Head Start, 321 Ninth Street Tell City.
The July topic is Naomi Griffith’s DVD series, “Parenting from the Heart, Building an Emotionally Healthy Family.”

Latter-day Saints relief society to meet
TELL CITY – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Relief Society will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Quilting ideas will be demonstrated. All women are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
Monthly dinner for tenants at Twilight Towers
TELL CITY – The next monthly dinner for Twilight Towers residents only will be at 5 p.m. Friday. It will be picnic style indoors with hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and desserts.
Entertainment will be at 6 p.m. and provided by the band Crosswind.
The entertainment will be open to the public.
Parks and Rec board to meet Wednesday
CANNELTON – The Perry County Parks and Recreation board will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the courthouse annex in Cannelton.
Football families to meet July 17
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central football families will meet at 6 p.m. July 17 in the Perry Central High School Study Hall.
Benefit dinner at St. John’s Saturday
NEW BOSTON – A pork-chop dinner will be served at 11 a.m. Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church near New Boston. Proceeds will help support the health-care needs of Evanston native Jane (Arnold) Higgins and her son. There will be dine-in and carry-out. The event is sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Dog walk set for July 19
TELL CITY – The newly formed Humane Society of Perry County Youth Group will host a dog walk July 19.
Registration will be at 6:30 p.m. at the gazebo in City Hall Park in Tell City. The walk will begin at 7 p.m. and head to the river walkway at Sunset Park.
Annual 4-H talent show set for Saturday
PERRY COUNTY – The Perry County 4-H Fair talent show has been set for 1 p.m. Saturday. This show is open to all ages.

UMC to host rummage sale
TELL CITY – The United Methodist Church in Tell City will hold a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19 and 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 20 at the church.
