PC Football Families T-shirt, etc. sale
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central Football Families will again take orders for football T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and, new this year, rain jackets. 
Order from can be picked up from Pam Krygielka at the German American main office or you can call (812) 893-1023. You may also contact Dawn Lynch at 719-5771 or Michelle Braun at 719-7141.
The first orders will be placed Friday and delivered Aug. 10. Final orders will be placed Aug. 24. All orders will take two weeks for delivery.
The Perry Central Football Families thank the community in advance for the continued support of the Perry Central football program.

Rome Masonic Lodge ceremonies Saturday
ROME – The Rome Masonic Lodge 133 Free and Accepted Masons will open ceremonies at 9 a.m. Saturday with the conferring of the Master Mason Degree on three Brother Fellowcrafts.
All Master Masons are invited to attend this ceremony.
At 11:30 a.m., the group will dedicate a new flagpole with Rolling Thunder conducting the ceremony. The flagpole dedication event is open to the public. A carry-in meal will follow the dedication.

Go-cart races in Branchville
BRANCHVILLE – Go-cart races will be held at the Branch-ville Clubhouse Saturday
Racing will begin at 5 p.m. All are welcome.

Latter-day Saints Pioneer Day
TELL CITY – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a Pioneer Day Social from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Pioneer games and a carry-in supper will be open to everyone.
The church is on Dauby Lane in Tell City, next to the Perry County Courthouse.

Hunter-ed course in Chrisney
CHRISNEY – Cornerstone Methodist church, 1407 E. State Road 70 in Chrisney, will host an Indiana Hunter Education Course from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Leo on the Lawn at Oakwood
TELL CITY – Oakwood Health Campus will host Leo on the Lawn with musician Leo Gronquist at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The public is invited to take their lawn chairs and join Oakwood staff and residents for an evening of entertainment. Walking tacos and Italian ice cream will be served.

Tractor association to meet Thursday
BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Branchville Conservation Club. For more information, contact Ed Guillaume at 843-5746.

Legion to sell frog-leg dinner
TELL CITY – Tell City American Legion will sell frog-leg dinners from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the post home.
Meals will include frog legs, creek fries, cole slaw and a roll. Cost will be $7.50.

Chestnut Grove to host special services
TELL CITY – Chestnut Grove Church will host special services Sunday through Aug. 1 at the church. Special guest will be Evangelist Tim Chenault and his wife from Texas.
Services will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. July 30 and 31 and Aug. 1.

Derby Community Association to meet
DERBY – The Derby Community Association will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. July 31 at the Derby Tavern.

Euchre tourney at Sportsman
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Aug. 11. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m.
Six 20-minute games will be played with cash prizes awarded at the end of play.
Refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome to attend.

Cookbooks to raise funds for Alzheimer’s
TELL CITY – Anita Sanders, team captain for Kroessman Krusaders Alzheimer’s fundraising team, and co-chair Nadina Paulin are selling cookbooks to raise money for the 2012 Memory Walk benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
The books sell for $10 each and all proceeds go to the association.

VNA Plus conducts screenings
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus conducts blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings each month at Twilight Towers. The next screening will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday. For more information, call VNA at 547-7967.

PCMH to offer screenings Tuesdays
TELL CITY – Perry County Memorial Hospital conducts blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings every Tuesday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Wal-Mart in Tell City.

Christmas Bazaar at Twilight Towers
TELL CITY – The annual Christmas Bazaar at Twilight Towers will start at 6 a.m. Sept. 15 in the dining room, 1648 10th St. in Tell City.
There will be holiday items for sale, a quilt raffle, bake sale and a biscuits-and-gravy breakfast. A half order will be $1 and a full order will be $2. Drinks available will be coffee, milk and orange juice for 50 cents each.
