Horseman’s club euchre games
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club will host euchre games Saturday, Jan. 8 at the clubhouse on Summer Road, just north of Tell City.
The event is open to the public.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7 p.m. Hot dogs, chili, desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be served.
The clubhouse is a nonsmoking facility.

Substance Abuse Committee to meet
TELL CITY – The Perry County Substance Abuse committee board of directors will meet at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Evangelical United Church of Christ.
A full committee meeting will follow at 3:30 p.m. Grant recipients are reminded to attend the full committee meeting.

Fundraiser meal at Twilight Towers
TELL CITY – Twilight Towers will host a fundraiser dinner in the dinning room Friday, Jan. 7.
The meal will begin at 5 p.m. and will be open to the public.
The menu will include bean or vegetable soup, cornbread, coffee, tea and lemonade.
Cost will be $3 a bowl with cornbread. Drinks will cost 50 cents.

Alzheimer’s Support Group meets Tuesday
TELL CITY – The Alzheimer’s Support Group will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City.
The meetings are open for support and information for those affected by Alzheimer’s.

VFW men’s auxiliary meeting moved
TELL CITY – The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 men’s auxiliary have changed their meeting time.
Meetings will now take place at 7 p.m. every fourth Wednesday of the month at the VFW.

VNA to offer blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – Visiting Nurse Association will offer free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings at Twilight Towers in Tell City.
Screenings are scheduled from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday and Jan. 18 at Wal-Mart in Tell City and from 9 to 10 a.m. Jan. 25 at Twilight Towers.

No December meeting for Planning Commission
FERDINAND – There will be no December meeting of the executive board of the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission.
Advance notice will be sent for the next scheduled meeting.

PC Florida reunion
VENICE, Fla. – The Perry County Reunion will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Marco Polo Restaurant, located at the North 41 by-pass in Venice.
This reunion is held every year on the third Thursday of February. The group visits, performs music and enjoys seeing friends from home.
The attendance is approximately 60 people.

Snowbirds to meet in February
SEBRING, Fla. – An annual gathering of local residents who flock to Florida for the winter months will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 5 at Homer’s Restaurant in Sebring, Fla.
The group will meet for lunch and fellowship. Drawings will be made for prizes.
As in the past, attendees will pay at the door, be directed to the correct room and a collection will be made for the waitress’ tip. No reservations are required.

TELL CITY – The Knights of Columbus will no longer offer Friday night dinners.
They will open the dining room again around Lent.

Pizza buffet to benefit SC Relay
MARIAH HILL – The Tri-Parish Relay for Life will host a pizza buffet at the Chateau in Mariah Hill Jan. 9.
The buffet will be all-you-can-eat pizza and breadsticks and those attending will be able to watch the NFL Wild Card game on the restaurant’s big screen TV.
The event will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Cost is $8 for anyone 11 years old and older, $5 for anyone 10 years old and younger and children 3 years old and younger eat for free.
All donations will go toward the Spencer County Relay for Life.
