Parent program at Early Head Start Friday
TELL CITY – Lincoln Hills Development Corp. Early Head Start invites the public to attend a parent enrichment program from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, at LHDC Early Head Start, 321 Ninth St., in Tell City.
The January topic is “caring for your pet” with speaker Nikki Rexing, veterinary technincian. Light refreshments will be served.

St. Michael annual fish dinners
CANNELTON – The members of St. Michael Catholic Church will again serve fish dinners the first six Fridays of lent.
There will be no dinners served Good Friday, March 29. Meals will begin Feb. 15 and held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. each Friday.
The meal will include fried fish fillets or cheese pizza, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread, dessert and drink. The price is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children 6 years and under.
All meals will be served in Father Marendt Hall in the basement of the church. Take-out meals and delivery will be available.
Deliveries can be arranged by calling 547-3363 or 547-5800. The community is invited to attend to share food, fellowship and support St. Michael’s.
K of C Lenten dinners start Feb. 15
TELL CITY – The Knights of Columbus, 947 11th St., will hold Lenten dinners every Friday beginning Feb. 15 and continuing until March 29.
Serving will be from 5 to 8 p.m. and meals are open to the public. For more information, call the K of C at 547-3621.
Leopold Park Association breakfast
LEOPOLD – The Leopold Park Association will host a Valentine all-you-can-eat-breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at St. Augustine Catholic Church hall.
Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 12 years of age and $1.50 for children 5 years and younger.
In case of inclement weather, the breakfast will be canceled.
Tractor association, conservation club party
BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Association and Branchville Conservation Club will host a party for members Saturday at the clubhouse.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the meal beginning at 6. The conservation club will furnish the meat for the meal and tractor association members are asked to take a covered dish.

St. Meinrad Legion Valentine dine, dance
ST. MEINRAD – St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366 will host a Valentine dine and dance Saturday at the St. Meinrad American Legion Hall.
Tickets need to be purchased in advance at the post home or by calling (812) 357-5583. Admission price is $15 per person and includes a meal, drinks and admittance to the dance. Music will be provided by the Good Time Country Band. The meal will be served at 5:30 p.m.
Horseman Club sponsoring euchre games
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman Club will host euchre games now through March. The next set of games will continue Feb. 16 and March 2, 16 and 30.
Chili, hot dogs, desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be available at 6 p.m. with games at 7. Cost at the door is $5 per person.
Prizes will be awarded for high points. First place will receive $50, second-place $30 and third place $20.

Euchre at Leopold Conservation Club
LEOPOLD – Euchre games will be held at the Leopold Conservation Club through April. Games will continue Saturday and Feb. 23, March 9 and 23 and April 6.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and games will start at 7. Food and refreshments will be available.
DAR meeting Thursday
CANNELTON – The Lafayette Spring Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Patio. Hostess will be Lucy Goffinet.
A program on early president coins will be presented by Zella Gilbert.

Nancy Hanks Lincoln event Sunday
LINCOLN CITY – The annual pilgrimage to Nancy Hanks Lincoln’s Memorial at the Lincoln Boyhood Memorial Museum will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Perry County day in Florida
VENICE, Fla. – Perry County Day on the Gulf Coast of Florida will be held Feb. 21. It is an annual gathering of southern Indiana Hoosiers living in Florida and organized by Perry County natives.
Snowbirds, vacationers and those with ties to the area are welcome to attend. There will be two events. The day will start with a lunch at 11 a.m. at the Habachi Grill, formerly Marco Polo’s, at 549 U.S. Highway 41 Bypass North in Venice.
Then a happy-hour gathering will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Trader Vic’s, 351 N. Cattleman Road in Sarasota, Fla., just off I-75 at Fruitville.

HIV testing offered at health department
PERRY COUNTY – Did you know that someone becomes infected with HIV every 9.5 minutes?
Get tested and know your status, urges the AIDS Re-source Group of Evansville, which offers free and confidential HIV testing at the Perry County Health Department the second Tuesday of every month. Hours are 1 to 3 p.m.

Oakwood Fat Tuesday dinner
TELL CITY – Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City will hold a Fat Tuesday dinner from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12.
The dinner will include sausage and pancakes. Everyone is invited to attend and wear their Mardi Gras best.
Living Bread Food Pantry open to public
TELL CITY – The Living Bread Food Pantry, an outreach program of Tell Street Baptist Church, offers prayer, Christian guidance and food to needy families in the area.
Anyone is invited to schedule an appointment Saturdays, except the first of the month. Appointments can be made by calling 547-4500 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Only two appointments per person per month are allowed. Inquiries about the church’s Sunday services are also welcome.
VNA Plus plans screenings Feb. 27
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus conducts blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings each month at Twilight Towers. The next screening will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Feb. 27.

Zumba at Schergens Center
TELL CITY – Everbody’s in Tell City and Perry County Wellness are sponsoring Zumba classes at the Schergens Center at 6:30 p.m. every Monday.
Cost is $3 per class or $12 for five sessions. Perry County students are admitted to classes for free.
Those attending are asked to wear athletic shoes, take water and a towel and to arrive a few minutes early to sign in.
Elementary children attending must be accompanied by an adult.
Zumba classes at Perry Central
LEOPOLD – Zumba classes are held at Perry Central at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafetorium each Monday.
Classes last one hour and cost for is $5 every Monday. A portion of each month’s proceeds is donated to a charitable cause.
Everyone is invited to participate.
