Legion to host euchre games today
TELL CITY – Tell City American Legion will host a euchre tourney today at the post home.
Games will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Twilight Towers to host dance
TELL CITY – Twilight Towers will host a Valentine’s dance open to the public from 7 until 10 p.m. Friday. Crosswinds will provide entertainment.
Marine Corps league forming
PERRY COUNTY – Interested in joining a Marine Corps league in the Perry County area? An informational meeting will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tell City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939.
All active, reserve and former Marines and Navy corpsmen serving in good standing are welcome to attend.

PC softball team to sell dinners Sunday
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central softball team will sell chicken dinners starting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Leopold Park.
Dinners will cost $7.
Horseman club will sponsor euchre games
TELL CITY – The Southern Indiana Horseman Club will host euchre games now through March. Events are planned for Saturday and March 3, 17 and 31.
Chili, hot dogs, desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be available at 6 p.m. with games at 7. Cost at the door is $5 per person.

Euchre tourney for Relay for Life
FULDA – The third annual Relay for Life Team Happy galloping euchre tourney will be Saturday. It will start at 6:30 p.m. at St. Boniface Parish Center in Fulda.

Relay for Life pastries fundraiser
TELL CITY – German American’s Relay for Life team is collecting orders for butter braid pastries.
Cost is $12 each and flavors are apple, Bavarian crème, blueberry cream cheese, caramel rolls, cherry, cinnamon, cream cheese, raspberry and strawberry cream cheese.
Orders are due by March 12 and pastries will be delivered frozen before Easter Sunday.
Each will serve approximately 10 people.

Pizza fundraiser to help PC Animal Shelter
TELL CITY – The Perry County Animal Shelter will have a fundraiser with the support of Chicago’s Pizza.
With a coupon, anyone ordering large pizzas Feb. 27 through Feb. 28 at Chicago’s Pizza can help the shelter. Chicago’s Pizza will donate $3 of every large pizza purchased to the Perry County Animal Shelter in recognition of World Spay Day.
Coupons are available at the shelter in Cannelton during regular hours from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays or 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays or by e-mail request to Tiffany Reed at tiffanyreed13 @gmail.com.

After-prom dress sale Feb. 25
TELL CITY – The Perry Central after prom formal dress sale will be held Feb. 25 at the Schergens Center, 1140 31st St., Tell City.
Cost to sell dresses is $10 for one to four dresses; $15 for five to nine dresses and $20 for 10 or more dresses. All dresses for sale must be clean.
The group will accept dresses from 8 a.m. to noon the day of the sale. Shopping will begin at noon. For more information, call 719-1362.
Cookbooks to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Association
TELL CITY – Anita Sanders, team captain for Kroessman Krusaders Alz-heimer’s fundraising team, and co-chair Nadina Paulin are selling cookbooks to raise money for the 2012 Memory Walk benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
The books sell for $12.50 each and all proceeds go to the association.

Sportsmen to hold euchre tourney
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Feb. 25 at the club in Fulda.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., with play beginning at 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be provided. The public is welcome to attend.
St. Patrick’s dance at VFW
TELL CITY – Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 dance hall will play host to a St. Patrick’s day from 7 to 11 p.m. March 17.
The Leo Gronquist Band will perform. Admission is $5 at the door. The public is invited to attend.
VNA Plus blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus conducts blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings each month at Twilight Towers.
The next screening will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Feb. 23.
