Beta Sigma Phi Christmas party today
TELL CITY – Mu Gamma chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will hold its annual Christmas party today at the home of Kim Zellers.
Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Bill & Dave’s Smokin’ Pit will cater the event.
A gift exchange will take place and Secret Sisters will be revealed.

Coon Club to host party Saturday
TELL CITY – The Perry County Coon Club will hold its Christmas party Saturday at the club.
Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. This is a members-only event.

Euchre games in Fulda Saturday
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Saturday at the club in Fulda. 
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m. The tourney will consist of six 20-minute games with prizes to be awarded at the end of play. 
Refreshments will be provided. The public is welcome to attend.

VNA Plus blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus holds blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings each month at Twilight Towers.
The next screening will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 22.

PCMH to offer screenings Tuesdays
TELL CITY – Perry County Memorial Hospital will hold blood-pressure and blood-screenings every Tuesday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Wal-Mart in Tell City.
The screenings will be offered free of charge to the public.

FCC amateur radio testing to be held Saturday
HUNTINGBURG – People seeking FCC amateur radio licenses may attend a testing session at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Huntingburg Public Library, 419 N. Jackson St., in Huntingburg.
The session will be an ARRL VEC test session.

Legion to host party Dec. 31
TELL CITY – Tell City American Legion Post 213 will host a New Year’s Eve party Dec. 31 at the post home.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. Cost is $10 per person.

TCHS Class of 1958 to meet Dec. 15
TELL CITY – The Tell City High School Class of 1958 will meet for lunch at noon Thursday, Dec. 15 at Bill & Dave’s Smokin’ Pit in Tell City.
Classmates are asked to note the lunch date is a different day from when the class normally meets.
Spouses and friends are welcome to attend.

VFW members to celebrate history Jan. 21
TELL CITY – Members of Tell City American Legion Winchell-Vogel Post 2939 will celebrate its 78-year history with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the post home.
The dinner is for members only.
A dance, which will be open to the public, will begin at 8 p.m.
Entertainment will be provided by Leo Gronquist and The Paradise Band.
Cover charge will be $5 per person at the door.

New Year’s Eve party at Twilight Towers
TELL CITY – There will be a New Year’s Eve party in the dining room of Twilight Towers, 1648 10th St. in Tell City, from 9 p.m. to midnight Dec. 31.
This party is open to residents and the public. The music will be provided by the band Crosswinds.
Snacks, coffee and lemonade will be available. No smoking or alcohol will be permitted.
There will be no cover charge but donations will be appreciated.

German American selling candles for Relay
TELL CITY – The three locations of German American in Tell City are selling a selection of candles for Relay for Life.
The candles cost $7 each. Proceeds will benefit the 2012 German American Relay for Life team.

Hoosier Day in Sebring
SEBRING, Fla. – The annual Hoosier Day in Sebring has been scheduled for Feb. 4 at Homer’s Buffet at the corner of Highway 27 and Sebring Parkway across from Wal-Mart.
Sign in is at 11 a.m. and the meal will be at noon.
